Overland makes small lots of exceptional wines exclusively from the Kick Ranch vineyard in Sonoma County. Every bottle is part of the Kick Ranch story – a Sauvignon Blanc, a Petite Sirah, a late harvest Sauvignon Blanc and two red Rhone blends called Ambition and Argonaut.

In the Spring of 1854, a pioneer family began an almost 2000 mile journey west. They came by covered wagon from Iowa, crossing the Missouri River near Omaha, Nebraska, and then following the Gold Rush trail over plains, mountains and deserts before they reached the small village of Santa Rosa, California. They bought land there to farm. By 1875, they had “a fine ranch” with 25 acres of vineyards. Over the years, whether due to Prohibition or changes in fortune, the vines they first planted disappeared. This is where we now farm – Kick Ranch.
In 2010, after a decade of growing grapes for some of the most interesting wineries in Sonoma and Napa counties, we started Overland to showcase the wines made from Kick Ranch. We are now following a path along side a group of extemely talented winemakers with very high standards of winemaking.
We all make journeys that require effort and optimism. We invite you to celebrate your journeys with exceptional wines, from Overland.
